Accessibility Strategist

(Project Manager)

The work involves:

  • Auditing drawings and existing buildings for Accessibility
  • Site auditing
  • Writing audit reports
  • Attending regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists
  • Making site visits to check on progress
  • Making sure that the project is running within the agreed time frame
  • Mastering use of our project management software
  • Administration
  • Special Projects
  • Research

Education:

  • Have a Technical Discipline (engineering, architecture, planning)
  • Have a Technology Diploma (or at least 5 Years Experience)

You Must Have:

  • Have knowledge of Building Codes (NBC, ABC)
  • Have knowledge in Universal Design/Barrier Free codes
  • Nice to have! Knowledge about the ADA (American with Disabilities Act)

You Should:

  • Have excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Cloud services)
  • Have Project Management Software knowledge
  • Have strong visual awareness and an eye for detail
  • Have good drawing skills
  • Be willing to look at projects from different perspectives
  • Be inventive and imaginative
  • Have reasonable mathematical skills
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have amazing presentation skills, can connect with anyone
  • Be able to organize projects
  • Have a logical, analytical and creative approach to problem-solving

Proposal Coordinator

Contract Position

The work involves:

  • Organize and coordinate all activities involved in the document preparation of Statements of Interests (SOI), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), and Requests for Proposals (RFP) to clients, including Proposals, Qualifications Packages
  • Perform detailed assessment of RFP requirements
  • Looking for potential RFPs ( APC, MERX etc)
  • Edit and proofread documents for grammar and clarity to ensure client requirements are met
  • Perform self-check of work products and coordinate independent quality control review in accordance with firm’s quality procedures
  • Other Marketing duties as assigned
  • Mastering use of our project management software
  • Special Projects

 

You should:

  • MUST have worked on a Proposal from start to finish – Reviewing the RFP to final printing production
  • Must handle multiple work assignments concurrently, adhere to strict deadlines, and be accountable for work performed
  • Must have good communication skills (written and verbal), be organized, detail-oriented, and proactive on assignments
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be a self-starter
  • Organization skills and the ability to take direction well are imperative
  • Commitment to accuracy, consistency, and quality
  • Must have the ability to recognize the need to work overtime, and to do so on an as-needed basis
  • Have strong visual awareness and an eye for detail
  • Be willing to look at projects from different perspectives

It is important that you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or English preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience in the Architecture industry
  • MUST have worked on a Proposal from start to finish – Reviewing the RFP to final printing production
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat and Indesign
  • Are passionate about buildings and the built environment
