Project Coordinator/ Proposal Coordinator

Contract Position

 

The Day to Day might Involve:

In this challenging role, you will be responsible for a wide variety of Project Coordination functions and Proposal Coordination. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, a positive outgoing personality and strong relationship building skills.

  • Effectively interface with customers and internal project stakeholders
  • Ownership of administrative aspect of projects – including Proposals
  • Ability to work with a complex business system
  • Responsible for project trail
  • Interface with business operations to develop reporting solutions
  • Attend client meetings and assist with the determination of project requirements
  • Assist the PM in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP’s, tenders, budgets, cash flows and preliminary schedules
  • Read and distill RFP/RFQ’s
  • Create proposal content within InDesign
  • Coordinate and track pursuit team action items
  • Maintain proposal templates
  • Organize and coordinate all activities involved in the document preparation of Statements of Interests (SOI), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), and Requests for Proposals (RFP) to clients
  • Perform the detailed assessment of RFP requirements
  • Looking for potential RFPs (APC, MERX etc)
  • Edit and proofread documents for grammar and clarity to ensure client requirements are met
  • Perform self-check of work products and coordinate independent quality control review in accordance with firm’s quality procedures
  • Marketing duties as assigned
  • Mastering use of our project management software
  • Meeting minutes
  • Special projects
  • Attending conferences and events as required

 

You know that long boring education you suffered through:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or English preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience in the Architecture industry or 10 Years office Experience
We do require that you:
  • Have at least 5 years of proposal writing experience
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Expert in Adobe InDesign
  • Fast, accurate keyboard skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
  • Accounting experience a strong asset
  • Social Media posting a strong asset
  • Entrepreneurial work ethic

Accessibility Strategist

(Project Manager)

The Day to Day might involve:
  • Auditing drawings and existing buildings for Accessibility
  • Site auditing
  • Writing audit reports
  • Attending regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists
  • Making site visits to check on progress
  • Making sure that the project is running within the agreed time frame
  • Mastering use of our project management software
  • Administration
  • Special Projects
  • Research
  • Wheelchair races in the hall!
  • Sporting events
You know that long boring education you suffered through:
  • Have a Technical Discipline (engineering, architecture, planning)
  • Have a Technology Diploma (or at least 5 Years Experience)
We do require that you:
  • Have knowledge of Building Codes (NBC, ABC)
  • Have knowledge in Universal Design/Barrier Free codes
  • Nice to have! Knowledge about the ADA (American with Disabilities Act)
  • Have a sense of humor
